I have created this page so it will help me to create my film poster and magazine. This is to help me to understand the unwritten meaning of colours.
Red- can connote two different meaning, the first being love, warmth, passion. The other being energy, speed, anger and danger.
Pink- connotes feminine, love, caring and nurture
Orange- Halloween, spooky, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, creativity, aggression
Yellow- joy, comfort, liveliness, hunger, overwhelm, summer, happiness.
Green- is associated with nature and earth however it can be seen to connote luck and power
Purple- connotes wealth, luxury and the higher class however in some cases it can be associated with magic, fantasy and mystery
Lilac- often used to match higher class women, same connotation as purple
Blue- symbolizes trust, wisdom, loyalty faith, calm and confidence
Dark blue- links to power, seriousness, depth and stability
Light blue- health, children, understanding and softness
White- is often related to innocence, perfection, fresh, neutral and mostly purity
Black- often connotes negativity, hatred, darkness, death but used in different ways it can be connected to elegance, sexy, stylish and power
