James is the oldest character featured in the film as so I wanted to add sophistication to the way he would dress. He is the father of Harriet I wanted to make should that the audience would see him as a wise, strong character. He is well established in his work area and I wanted the audience to see this by dressing him in similar clothes to the ones you see here of the board with connote that he is a level headed business man that works hard for the money he earns, In most on the scenes he will be featured in he will be wearing a smart casual outfit that connotes he has just finished work.
